Jason Hall is the owner/operator of Muddy Oak Retrievers. Jason is an avid waterfowl hunter that has hunted many different locations across the United States and it‘s different flyways. He has also hunted with many different levels of hunting dogs. This passion of waterfowl and dogs began the desire to pursue breeding and training top quality gundogs.
Jason trained his personal dogs for years but wanted to take his training to a higher level. He sought out the tutelage of renowned pro trainer and Team Waterdog member Rody Best. While learning and training with Rody, he learned to take a dog from zero to the highest level of competition like the International Grand Hunting Retriever Championship. He also was able to learn about pedigrees and genetics that he could apply to develop a breeding program for dogs that can hunt, compete and be a joy to have as a family member in the house.
Throughout this journey, Jason came across Field Bred English Cocker Spaniels and instantly fell in love with this wonderful breed. This led to a new found passion of upland hunting behind a flushing dog.
Our breeding program goals are aimed to produce puppies that make the best family members & hunting companions!
